This article was written with the intention of showing the importance of encouraging the reading, of pleasure in having a contact with the book from an early age. It is extremely relevant that the book be presented to the child since before they know how to read, that encouragement comes first from the example of parents at home, when they read to themselves or the children. Later on when they go to school, the teacher must do this mediation between reading and the same, their role in this incentive has great significance, since after the parents the educator is the person the students admire and inspire. It is worth mentioning that it is at this moment that the process of formation of the individual happens, his personality, his way of expressing himself and so also the habit of reading is developed at this stage. In this study also one finds research on reading among adults and if they also encourage the habit of reading among their children. The lack of reading can cause harm to the adult individual, making them a disinterested reader, a person who does not question. The most serious problem is when the lack of encouragement comes from within the classroom, when the teacher does not read, also has no interest in forming a student reader.
