This article investigates the role of weight training as a key ally in the mental health care of military police officers working in Manaus, Amazonas. The central point of the research is to understand how strength training can reduce psychopathological conditions within the tense environment of public security. Using a methodology based on qualitative literature review and supported by epidemiological data, the results show that the regular practice of resistance exercises promotes the release of essential neurotransmitters and strengthens self-esteem, acting as a "shield" against stress and mental exhaustion. We conclude that institutionally encouraging weight training is a cheap and efficient strategy to maintain the health of the force, reducing absenteeism and restoring quality of life to those working on the front lines.
