The study analyzes the relationship between occupational stress and the right to functional readaptation among military police officers in Amazonas, focusing on the psychosocial, organizational, and legal factors that influence illness and professional continuity. The main objectives include identifying stress determinants, examining their health and performance impacts, and evaluating the effectiveness of institutional readaptation mechanisms. Methodologically, the research adopts a qualitative approach based on bibliographic and documentary analysis. Results indicate that occupational stress intensifies physical and mental illness, increases medical leave, and weakens the readaptation process due to structural limitations. The final considerations highlight the need to strengthen mental health policies, improve institutional protocols, and expand support for police officers to ensure social protection and legal effectiveness in the Amazonian context.
