This article aimed to present and discuss a continuing education proposal for NEPRE Regional Coordinators, grounded in the use of the Educação na Palma da Mão data system as a strategy to improve educational management and strengthen preventive actions in the school context. This is a bibliographic study with a qualitative approach and applied nature, based on the survey and analysis of academic publications and normative references on leadership development, the use of educational indicators, and violence prevention in schools. The findings indicate that integrating continuing education with qualified data interpretation enhances diagnostic capacity, supports planning, sustains action monitoring, and enables decisions better aligned with territorial realities. The study also highlights that educational information systems become effective only when accompanied by training processes that develop interpretative and organizational competencies, preventing superficial or merely bureaucratic use. It is concluded that a data-based training proposal represents a promising path to strengthen regional coordinators’ work, consolidate an evidence-informed management culture, and intensify more planned and consistent preventive practices within education systems.
