In December 2019, the first cases of COVID-19 emerged in China and quickly spread worldwide. In January 2020, the World Health Organization declared the disease a public health emergency and later a pandemic, adopting measures to contain virus transmission. In this context, nursing, an essential profession in health care, was strongly impacted, especially in academic training. Social isolation measures led to the adoption of remote learning, significantly affecting nursing students, particularly regarding the acquisition of practical skills. This study aimed to analyze the impacts of remote learning during the pandemic on undergraduate nursing students, considering learning quality, development of practical competencies, mental health, and preparation for the labor market. An integrative literature review was conducted using the MEDLINE, LILACS, BDENF, and SciELO databases, resulting in the inclusion of 17 articles. The results showed learning losses, difficulties in concentration, impairment of clinical teaching, negative impacts on students’ mental health, and a lack of adequate training for the effective use of educational technologies.
