The present study is the result of the implementation of a didactic sequence mediated by the production of informative scientific dissemination articles in the training context of the 1st year of integrated high school. This work is based on specialized literature on Professional and Technological Education and on the Theory of Didactic Sequence for multiliteracies. In this direction, we sought to contribute to the scientific literacy of students through the production of informative texts in multimodal formats, the results of which revealed advances in their language capabilities (action, discursive and linguistic-discursive) and reaffirmed the relevance of language teaching in conjunction with scientific, technological and cultural knowledge for integral human formation. To this end, a qualitative-quantitative analysis was carried out of a focused interview and a semi-structured questionnaire applied to the Portuguese Language intern at the Instituto Federal do Tocantins-campus and to the students participating in the research.
