Play is a fundamental practice for the integral development of children, encompassing cognitive, social, and emotional aspects. This article aims to analyze the importance of playful practices in early childhood education, highlighting their effects on learning, socialization, and emotional formation. Through a literature review, it is observed that playful activities provide meaningful learning environments, promoting autonomy, creativity, empathy, and emotional regulation. It is concluded that integrating playful practices in early childhood institutions is essential for balanced and full development.
