Abstract

This research aimed to highlight the reality of homeschooling in Brazil. Data collection was carried out through news articles available on websites starting from 2020, the year when the pandemic led to the emergence of a new teaching/learning format. The corpus of the study consisted of news reports published by region. The data analysis was based on the content covered in each report. It was found that homeschooling in Brazil is still a reality in the country. Despite the processes and movements against the practice, it has not lost strength.
