The present study aims to investigate the role of the institutional educational psychologist, with an emphasis on their contribution to the development of the learning process. The research topic addresses the relevance of the institutional educational psychologist, seeking to understand their responsibilities with students and the school community. The guiding problem consists of analyzing how the educational psychologist operates within the institutional context and which challenges make their presence essential in the daily school routine. The research was structured in two stages: a field study conducted in a municipal school and a literature review, encompassing the analysis of scientific articles, journals, and dissertations, in order to ensure a thorough and well-founded investigation of the proposed topic.
