Abstract

The incessant digitalization of the Brazilian Judiciary, driven by milestones such as the Electronic Judicial Process (PJe), reconfigures the concept of access to justice. While technology promises greater speed, savings and the overcoming of geographical barriers, it also exposes and worsens the problem of digital exclusion, which goes beyond the mere lack of access to the internet. This paper analyzes how the rapid adoption of technological innovations in the Judiciary, although essential, creates new challenges for inclusion, giving rise to a new group of vulnerable individuals: the digitally excluded. It is argued that ensuring equitable access to justice in the digital age requires a systemic approach that goes beyond specific solutions and involves the responsibility of the Judiciary itself, the integration of public policies and the development of technologies with an intrinsically inclusive design. This study is a bibliographic review, based on scientific articles, books, and official data, and follows a deductive approach.
