Introduction: Regular physical activity is recognized as a promoter of health and quality of life. However, an increasing association has been observed between healthy behaviors and the consumption of alcoholic beverages, including among physically active individuals. Objective: To analyze the profile of alcohol consumption among individuals who engage in physical activity in gyms located in the municipality of Seropédica-RJ. Methods: This was a cross-sectional, quantitative, and observational study conducted in three gyms and one studio, with participants aged 20 to 59 years. Data were collected through an online questionnaire (Google Forms), accessed via QR Code, which included sociodemographic information and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT). Associations were analyzed using the chi-square or Fisher’s exact test (α = 5%). Results: A total of 104 individuals participated; 63.5% presented low-risk consumption, while 36.5% were classified as risk consumption, high risk, or probable dependence. Binge drinking patterns were identified in 31.7% of the sample. No statistically significant associations were found between risk classification and sociodemographic variables. Conclusion: Alcohol consumption among gym-goers proved to be prevalent, with a relevant proportion of risk consumption and episodes of binge drinking. These findings reinforce the importance of educational actions aimed at responsible alcohol use within the context of physical exercise.
