Abstract

This research investigates Consumer Law in the era of digital commerce, exploring the benefits and challenges faced by consumers and companies in this context. The rise of e-commerce has brought a number of advantages such as convenience and product variety, but it has also raised concerns about consumer protection, including data security issues, deceptive commercial practices and access to justice. This study proposes to analyze existing laws and regulations related to digital commerce, identify gaps and areas for improvement, and propose strategies to strengthen consumer protection in this constantly evolving environment. The research will combine qualitative and quantitative methods, including a literature review. The expected results will contribute to understanding the legal and ethical challenges faced by consumers and businesses in digital commerce and to the development of more effective consumer protection policies.
