Child development encompasses cognitive, social, and motor dimensions and is essential for a child's overall development. This study aimed to analyze the main aspects of childhood development, highlighting the importance of adequate stimulation. The research was theoretical and exploratory in nature, based on a literature review in databases such as SciELO, the MEC Portal, and the BNCC. The results indicate that planned pedagogical practices, which involve playful activities, image reading, and mediation in play, significantly contribute to the development of logical reasoning, language, social skills, and motor coordination. Furthermore, qualified educators and the creation of meaningful educational contexts are fundamental to promoting children's overall development and reducing educational inequalities. The conclusion is that investing in appropriate stimulation from early childhood is crucial for building autonomy, learning, and social interaction, with positive effects throughout life.
