Abstract

He study addressed the use of digital games and multimedia resources in the development of communication and social interaction among students. It began with the research problem that questioned how these technologies could contribute to the improvement of communicative and collaborative skills in educational contexts. The main objective was to analyze how digital games and multimedia resources fostered communication and social interaction in technology-mediated learning environments. The research was characterized as a bibliographic review with a qualitative approach, based on the analysis of books, articles, and conference proceedings published between 2020 and 2025, selected for their relevance and relation to the topic. The results showed that digital games acted as pedagogical mediation tools, stimulating dialogue, expression, and teamwork. It was found that multimedia resources expanded communication possibilities, enabling the inclusion of students with different needs and learning styles. The analysis also indicated that teacher mediation played a fundamental role in guiding digital activities, strengthening engagement and cooperation among learners. It was concluded that the pedagogical use of digital technologies contributed to the formation of more communicative, participative, and empathetic individuals, in addition to promoting inclusion and student protagonism. Further studies were recommended to deepen the understanding of mediation practices and the long-term impact of technologies on communicative development.
