This article analyzes the use of WhatsApp by the Brazilian Judiciary as a tool to facilitate access to justice. The research shows that the app, widely used in the country, has been employed for procedural communications, such as summons and subpoenas, bringing benefits such as speed, resource savings, and greater connection between citizens and judicial institutions. The analysis, based on Cappelletti and Garth's "renewal waves," shows that WhatsApp helps overcome financial, geographic, and bureaucratic barriers, although it still faces challenges related to legal certainty, digital inclusion, and regulatory standardization. The conclusion is that, when used in a regulated and responsible manner, the app represents an effective resource for modernizing and democratizing justice in Brazil.
