The purpose of this communication is to discuss the realization of the Community Time project, developed in alternation with the Time University, in the courses of Degree in Rural Education - LEDOC. The starting point for discussion emerges in the LEDOC, of the Federal University of Piauí, campus of Picos, specifically, in the curricular component History, Identity and Memory of the Peoples of the Field, in which students are proposed to the elaboration and execution of a research project, through articulation between the academic knowledge and the knowledge of the field, with the purpose of valorizing the peasant culture. In order to do so, Oral History was explained as a methodological procedure that guided the research. Here are some of the theorists who base the discussions: Caldart (2009), Fernandes and Molina (2005), Nosella (2013) Arroyo (2013) and others. Documentaries, photographic narratives, written records and reports of experiences are produced as projects' results. The discussion about the relevance of the development of Community Time in LEDOC courses represents an understanding of the relevance of articulating academic knowledge with peasant knowledge, taking into account the collective work in the planning and execution of activities.
