This work brings together a collection of reflections and studies that converge on a common purpose: to rethink practices, values, and perspectives in the educational and social fields in light of the transformations of the 21st century. In each chapter, the authors explore complementary dimensions of the act of educating and caring, highlighting the role of inclusion, technological innovation, and human development as pillars of a more just, participatory, and supportive society.
The themes gathered here cover different scenarios, from the teacher-student relationship in Multifunctional Resource Rooms to accessibility in the school environment; from the use of play as a learning tool in Early Childhood Education to the development of skills mediated by digital media. These approaches engage with the contemporary reality of schools and educational institutions, which face the challenge of integrating technologies, promoting meaningful learning, and ensuring the full participation of all students, regardless of their conditions or limitations.
The texts also delve into other spheres of knowledge, such as the study on improving the management of chronic diseases in the healthcare environment, which broadens the horizon of inclusion to the field of comprehensive care and humanized care. Added to this are analyses of the challenges and potential of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT), the role of the Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA) professional, and the use of digital media in the inclusion of eligible students, all highlighting the transformative power of education combined with technology, research, and human sensitivity.
Each article, in its own way, reveals the authors' commitment to the formation of critical, creative individuals aware of their social role. It is an invitation to reflect on more inclusive and innovative pedagogical practices, capable of breaking down barriers, reinterpreting knowledge, and building more equitable and collaborative learning pathways.
More than a compilation of research, this collection is a space for dialogue, an invitation to action, and a celebration of education as an emancipatory and integrative force. May your reading inspire new ideas, awaken sensitive perspectives, and motivate transformations in classrooms, schools, and society as a whole.
