The study investigated how multimedia resources, when integrated into pedagogical practices, could effectively promote innovation in the teaching and learning process. The objective was to analyze the role of these resources in the educational context, discussing their potential and limitations for the construction of meaningful learning. The research, of bibliographic nature and qualitative approach, was based on the analysis of books and articles that addressed the relationship between multimedia and education, highlighting practical experiences and theoretical reflections. The development showed that multimedia resources favored greater student engagement, expanded forms of interaction, and made it possible to meet different learning styles, as long as they were used in a planned and critical way. It was also found that their contribution did not occur automatically, depending on teacher mediation, pedagogical planning, and adequate structural conditions. The final considerations pointed out that multimedia resources are relevant instruments for educational innovation, although it is still necessary to invest in teacher training and infrastructure to ensure their effectiveness. It was also emphasized that further studies are needed to broaden the understanding of the long-term impacts of the use of these technologies.
