The present study analyzed the teachers' conceptions about the teaching of reading and writing from the Statistical Analysis Implicative and Cohesive - ASI - CHIC the statistical method of reading multidimensional data of the software CHIC - Hierarchical Classification, Implicative and Cohesive. Thus, we analyzed the speeches of teachers participating in the National Pact for Literacy in the Right Age Program (PNAIC) – Brazil, related to the treatment of the heterogeneous practice of teaching reading and writing, in classes from three years of the Literacy Cycle. The study made it possible to reflect on the elaborations of professional styles based on official guidelines. The statistical method of reading multidimensional data of the CHIC software evidenced the specific pedagogical culture of teachers in teaching reading and writing. We also noticed that the practices reported by the teachers reveal their ability to plan teaching and assessment in an articulated way, to the point that they do not need to use formal assessment tools in their daily lives.
