The study investigated how digital storytelling, articulated through texts, videos, and audio, could contribute to the innovation of pedagogical practices and to the expansion of meaningful learning in the educational context. The general objective was to analyze the role of digital storytelling in education, highlighting its relevance as a pedagogical tool that reinvented oral tradition through multimedia resources. The development was based on the analysis of references that addressed the trajectory of digital technologies in schools, the gamification associated with virtual reality, the impacts of technologies on students’ attention, and the use of digital environments to enhance cultural and educational practices. It was found that digital narratives favored engagement, motivation, and attention, in addition to expanding the pedagogical repertoire through multiple languages. In the final considerations, it was concluded that digital storytelling proved to be an effective strategy to bring school content closer to students’ daily lives, promoting more relevant learning. It was also emphasized that this bibliographic research indicated the need for complementary studies to verify, in practical contexts, the impacts of using digital narratives in education.
