Digital technologies challenge institutions to seek alternatives to traditional teaching and emphasize the crucial role that school managers will have to play in this digital transformation of education. Based on this question, this paper seeks to identify the use of E-learning as a teaching and learning tool and the role of the school manager, the challenges and possibilitie of their professional performance in the teaching-learning process. To do this, we used bibliographical references from authors such as Garcia and Alvares (2020), Moran (2019) and Souza, S. A. (2018). Based on these authors, it was observed that the school manager is an agent of change, facilitating the adoption of technology and promoting meaningful learning experiences in the E-learning environment. They are responsible for preparing the environment for change and must understand the impacts of technology on teaching and learning dynamics, promoting innovation and ensuring that educational technologies are accessible and effective for all those involved in the educational process. E-learning is a modality that is gaining ground in educational institutions with the digital transformation and the evolution of ways of acquiring knowledge.
