This article is a key excerpt from a Master's degree in Educational Sciences research project conducted by the World Ecumenical University (WUE). The aim was to analyze how administrators, teachers, and the school community perceive the proposal for democratic management and how they are responding to its practical implications. The study is descriptive, exploratory, bibliographical, and documentary, with a qualitative approach. However, data collection and analysis were conducted through documentation: collegiate bodies, the school's political-pedagogical project, and internal regulations. Questionnaires were administered to the administrators, school community, and teachers between April and December 2024 at a public school in the state of Ceará. The results demonstrate that the research site can be evaluated as an educational institution that prioritizes democratic principles and possesses a certain quality for all, as there have been changes in organizational contexts, resulting in a contemporary rather than traditional version. It is concluded, therefore, that society needs to be made aware that the political system in itself is not democratic, as the participation of the school community, family and school are relevant to aligning with the principles of viable and contemporary school management.
