This paper presents a bibliographic review on the relationship between the digital generation, also known as the screenager generation, and the educational universe. The objective of the paper is to discuss the challenges faced by teachers and schools when dealing with this generation, as well as the possibilities and impacts arising from this interaction. Through the analysis of relevant studies and research, the main aspects related to the educational path of the digital generation were identified. The paper addresses the adaptability of these students to technologies, their expectations of interactive learning, facilitated access to information and resources, the appreciation of collaborative learning and connection, in addition to the challenges of excessive use of technology. Based on the references consulted, the importance of adapting pedagogical practices, developing teachers' digital competence and promoting equity in access to technologies is discussed. The need for a personalized teaching approach that develops 21st century skills, fosters creativity and innovation, expands access to education and prepares students for the professional future is highlighted. However, the challenges to be overcome are also mentioned, such as pedagogical adaptation, resistance to change and adequate management of technology use. This work contributes to the understanding of the relationship between the digital generation and education, offering insights for teachers and educational institutions to face the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities arising from this interaction in the technological context.
