Abstract

The Federal Institutes (IFs), created in 2008, aim to offer professional and technological education at various levels, with emphasis on technical training integrated with high school. This study analyzed the familiarity of third-year students of integrated technical courses at IFMT Campus Primavera do Leste (IFMT-PDL) with the institution before enrolling and the importance of student assistance policies for course completion. A questionnaire with 24 questions was administered to 20 students. The research is applied, exploratory, mixed and action research. The results indicate the need to increase the institution's awareness and highlight the vital importance of student assistance policies for student retention and success.

Rogério Costa Batista, ProfEPT

Graduação em Licenciatura Plena em Matemática pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso-UFMT (2010), Bacharel em Engenharia Civil-UNIC (2018); Bacharel em Administração Pública UFMT (2022); Especialista em Gestão Pública UFMT (2014); Pós-Graduação em Gestão Integrada de Segurança Pública - IFMT (2021); Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de prevenção de incêndio - ANHANGUERA (2023); Pós-Graduação em Engenharia e Segurança do Trabalho - ANHANGUERA (2023), e Mestrado em Educação Profissional e Tecnológica-ProfEPT- IFMT (2023). Atualmente, é subtenente do Corpo de Bombeiros do Estado de Mato Grosso, lotado na 6 Companhia Independente de Bombeiros Militares, localizada em Primavera do Leste - MT.

Ronan Marcelo Martins, ProfEPT

Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia e doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Instalações Elétricas e Industriais com aplicação de técnicas de inteligência artificial. Atualmente, é Professor Titular do IFMT (Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia) de Mato Grosso/Campus Cuiabá/Cel. Octayde Jorge da Silva. Nos últimos anos, tem atuado na área da Robótica e como professor do Mestrado ProfEPT.
