Abstract

This article analyzes the application of Labor Law in the relationships between beauty professionals and salon owners under Law No. 13.352/2016 (Salon Partner Law). The study discusses the growing use of strategies such as “pejotização,” partnership contracts, and service agreements to avoid recognizing employment relationships and reduce labor and tax liabilities. Although legally accepted, such practices may undermine labor rights. The research critically examines Law No. 13.352/2016 and the concepts of subordination and parasubordination to identify possible employment relationships. It concludes with the need for rethinking the legal regulation of the beauty sector in line with the protective principles of Labor Law.
