This study aims to understand the educational impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to reflect on remote teaching and the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICTs) into the teaching and learning process. In addition to a literature review based on previously published academic works, this research was developed through the application of a questionnaire via Google Forms to students enrolled in the Nutrition program at a Higher Education Institution located in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, Brazil. The study explored students' perceptions of remote education, the ICTs used to access classes and course content, and the challenges faced during this emergency learning context. The findings promote reflection on the need to address the teaching-learning process, with particular attention to fostering digital inclusion for all participants involved.
