THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF DIDACTICS IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION IN THE EARLY YEARS

This study aimed to investigate the contributions of didactics in the teaching and learning process of Elementary Education in the early years. The specific objectives included identifying how didactics can assist the teacher in the teaching and learning process of students, verifying the teacher who uses appropriate methodological strategies to develop with students with a view to forming critical and reflective subjects, and analyzing the didactic resources used by the Elementary Education teacher in the early years. The methodology adopted was of a qualitative nature, which consisted of an interview with teachers named P1 and P2 from a municipal school in the municipality of Escada. This work is based on Lopes e Porfírio (2020), Cardoso (2021) and Rosa (2022). The results reveal that didactics contributes to the teaching and learning process, demonstrates the importance in teacher training, promotes the creation of a dynamic and participatory environment, brings didactic resources as a facilitator of learning, thus having the relationship between theory and practice where both need to go together. The conclusion points out that didactics is essential for the construction of knowledge and in the formation of critical and reflective subjects. The teacher's practice needs to be innovative, so that students have attractive and meaningful learning.
