Abstract

Science education, as a deeply interdisciplinary field of knowledge, is open to interaction and the exchange of knowledge with various other fields and areas of study, including the Visual Arts. This study aims to identify, through a narrative review based on bibliographic research, how academic literature has shown the integration between Visual Arts and Science education. The references found on the topic are grouped into three general themes, with increasing practical, experimental, and specific characteristics. The study successfully highlights the ongoing importance of the integration between Visual Arts and Science education. However, it is evident that the union between these two fields is not trivial, requiring reflections of various kinds before constructing successful applications. The choice to pursue this path, however, is justified as it presents itself as a powerful tool for the holistic development of students, fostering the development of critical thinking and creativity.
