Abstract

This article has as its theme the importance of affectivity in the teacher-student relationship, and the main objective of this study is to research the benefits of a relationship based on affectivity, specifically between teachers and students. We know that affection is a primordial ingredient in any human relationship, and that it must be present in all phases of an individual's life. However, nowadays, when we analyze these relationships, we realize that there is a detachment from affectivity, a trivialization of this feeling. The consequence is visible: children become true “miniature adults”, demonstrating precocious, antisocial and often aggressive behavior. Thus, it becomes vital to understand the importance of the presence of an environment conducive to the exercise of affectivity in the lives of these students.
