This paper is located in the discussion about the textual genre as a teaching learning tool and has as main objective to observe, based on recent discussions about students' literacy in the school environment held by New Literacy Studies. Demonstrating the impacts brought to elementary school students the textual genre, more specifically, as a tool of teaching learning.
