This study highlights the relevance of Occupational Therapy (OT) in the development of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emphasizing its role in supporting families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams in the inclusion process. OT provides personalized strategies to address daily challenges, promoting the development of motor, cognitive, emotional, and sensory skills through therapeutic and playful activities. In addition to enhancing children’s quality of life, the intervention strengthens family resilience in the face of the demands associated with ASD. Families of autistic children face significant stress and overload, making the establishment of a multidisciplinary support network essential. This network includes collaboration among professionals and support groups, fostering overall well-being and facilitating social inclusion. Thus, Occupational Therapy serves as a central element in promoting autonomy and improving the quality of life for these children and their families.
