Anxiety disorder is known as a mental disorder, characterized as an emotional reaction that can be present in different situations in our daily lives and can present various symptoms. Since it is a certain combination of several related factors, including eating behavior, it affects millions of people around the world. The objective was to identify foods rich in nutrients that improve and control anxiety attacks, as well as to emphasize the quality and quantity of these foods for consumption, which promote benefits to mental health. The methodology used was based on a descriptive literature review. Data were collected through articles available online in databases such as Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and National Library of Medicine (PUBMED). Nine articles that addressed the topic were selected. The inclusion criteria were studies carried out on young adults aged between 19 and 59 years old presenting specific relationships in their eating behavior through anxiety disorder. Through the articles supported, it was possible to analyze the importance of some specific nutrients that improve the condition, their consumption and their clinical implications. for the treatment of anxiety disorders.
