Abstract

This article discusses the development of Saúde Verde, an application that facilitates elderly access to information about teas, herbs, and homemade remedies. Developed using the Flutter framework, the app offers a user-friendly interface compatible with both Android and iOS. Efficient communication between the database and the back end is achieved through a REST API in Node.js, hosted on Render.com to support multiple simultaneous users. The research followed an exploratory applied methodology, focusing on accessibility and usability for the elderly. To evaluate the app, a questionnaire was administered to 60 elderly users, addressing ease of navigation and accessibility. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, and the results indicated high acceptance, with suggestions for improvements in contrast and button size. The conclusion highlights that Saúde Verde is a reliable and useful tool for promoting natural health among the elderly, with potential to evolve and better meet the needs of this audience.
