This research was designed to bring to light some relevant aspects of critical legal theory and legal pluralism. Initially, an introductory analysis was carried out, seeking to situate basic and important concepts for understanding the subject. Initially, the emergence of the Democratic Rule of Law and the Liberal State were discussed in order to highlight the nuances of both systems. Next, the critical theory of law was discussed, with a view to its conceptualization and dimension within the perspective of changing the panorama of legal thought. Finally, we looked at legal pluralism and its relationship with the criticality of law, which is capable of promoting new perspectives on the legitimization of new social demands. Thus, this work is qualitative in nature and was carried out through academic research, using the hypothetical-deductive method.
