Abstract

This is a descriptive study, as a report of the experience experienced by the students, teachers and supervisors of the Supervised Curricular Internship in a public education institution linked to a health institution. Objective: to describe the experience of the insertion of the students in the stage that happens already in the first semester of the Technical course in Nursing. The first approximation of the students with the work world happens from the observational visit realized in Basic Units of Health and Hospital Inpatient. Considering their potential to produce a better teaching-service integration, they make up the Didactic Plan of the Technical Course of the Center for Technological Education in Health of the Hospitalar Conceição Group and demand the prior organization of the teachers and preparation of the students to look at their daily work. Held before the first contact of the students with the fields, they are directed to the students that Thematic Unit Health of the Adult and the Elderly. In groups, they were organized to promote a learning environment from the perspective of curiosity, turning the students' gaze to work in health and health care practices. They allow students to have the first contact with work and to recognize relationships established among the technical professionals in nursing and the users, as well as with the other members of the team, taking into account the principles of the Unified Health System and its guidelines.
