Abstract

The present work aims to establish and enrich the lacking debate regarding the implications of race on the effectiveness of the Maria da Penha Law. To this end, it will demonstrate how factors such as race and social conditions are linked to the failure to protect black women. In this way, through bibliographical research and, with the purpose aimed at exploring the literary content of what has already been written in relation to the topic in question, it will bring a specific reflection on this problem. Furthermore, the scientific article presented will analyze data through a quantitative-qualitative scientific research approach. This time, regarding the procedures, it will be a bibliographic and documentary research, so that there is precision when portraying the specific social group targeted.
