This study aimed to review and discuss the most effective therapeutic approaches in the treatment of chronic low back pain, focusing on manual therapy and physical exercises. From a bibliographic review of recent scientific articles, the benefits of these interventions for pain reduction and improvement of patients' quality of life were analyzed. Manual therapy, including techniques such as vertebral manipulation and massage, has been shown to be effective in immediate pain relief and restoration of joint and muscle function. In addition, physical exercises, especially those aimed at strengthening the core and stabilizing the spine, have been pointed out as essential to prevent pain recurrence and ensure the maintenance of long-term therapeutic results. The combination of these two approaches proved to be the most efficient, promoting not only physical benefits, but also improving the emotional well-being of patients, reducing levels of stress and anxiety often associated with chronic pain. The adoption of these interventions also has positive implications from an economic point of view, since they reduce costs related to absenteeism and the need for invasive treatments or long-term medications. It is concluded that manual therapy and physical exercises are complementary and should be integrated into multidisciplinary programs for the treatment of chronic low back pain, providing a faster, more effective recovery with less risk of complications. These approaches offer a safe and affordable solution for patients seeking an improvement in the quality of life and management of chronic low back pain.
