Abstract

Mathematical demonstrations, when properly developed, play a fundamental role in the development of logical and critical thinking in students in basic education. This article explores the relevance of demonstrations in the basic educational context, identifies the challenges faced and proposes pedagogical strategies for their application in teaching and learning.
