The moon has been the object of study for human beings since prehistoric times, therefore, it is extremely important that students have access to scientific knowledge already built on the earths natural satellite. The general objective of this project was to promote opportunities for students to understand why, observing the moon from earth, it is only possible to view one of its two sides. The methodology used was an Investigative Teaching Sequence, which helped the class to develop necessary skills, and competencies that promoted the construction of knowledge in an active, and autonomous way that made them understand the synchronized rotation of the moon.
