Entering the world of toys and games is immersing yourself in the child's natural universe. The right to play, the different languages and how such aspects are treated inside and outside the school were highlighted here. The objective of the present study was to analyze play and toys within the children's universe, reflecting on the need to create meaningful spaces that guarantee children's rights. Based on a bibliographical research on the topic addressed, significant issues were discussed to rethink the way in which children and childhood are being considered today.
