ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FROM THE 2030 AGENDA: EXPERIENCES IN TEACHING GEOGRAPHY IN BASIC EDUCATION

This article sought to report the Environmental Education (EE) activities, supported by the 2030 Agenda (Sustainable Development Goals - SDG 3, target 3.3 and SDG 4, 4.7) carried out in the 5th and 7th grade classes of elementary school, from 2022 to 2024, in the teaching of Geography at Cap-UFU. The project-based teaching methodology was used in which students act autonomously, developing skills in solving interdisciplinary problems, using the concepts learned in theory and relating them to practice. It was concluded that the development of an environmental education project requires well-structured planning throughout its course. The experiences were considered successful since scientific literacy has been a strategy capable of assisting in the training of students in the methodology of solving the problem of the increase in the number of cases of diseases caused by a (SDG 3, target 3.3) promoting quality education (SDG 4, target 4.7).
