Abstract

The study addressed the question of how artificial intelligence can enhance learning in educational environments. The general objective was to analyze the use of AI in education, identifying its main applications, benefits and challenges. The methodology adopted consisted exclusively of a literature review, compiling and analyzing relevant studies on the topic. In development, it was discussed that AI can personalize teaching, adjusting content and activities according to students' individual needs. This personalization allows for more efficient and adapted learning. It was also highlighted that AI can automate administrative tasks, such as marking tests and managing school activities, freeing up time for educators to focus more on instruction. Ethical and privacy issues were identified as significant challenges. The implementation of AI must ensure the transparency of algorithms and the protection of student data. Furthermore, equity in access to AI technologies was highlighted as a crucial challenge, highlighting the need to ensure that all students have equal access to technological resources. In final considerations, the study concluded that AI has significant potential to transform teaching and learning processes, offering benefits in terms of personalization and efficiency. However, it is essential to address ethical challenges and ensure that all students have equitable access to technologies. The study contributed to understanding the practical applications of AI in education and highlighted the need for future research to explore the practical implementation and long-term impact of AI on student performance.
