Assistive technologies have proven to be essential in special education, providing students with special needs greater access to the curriculum and opportunities to develop critical skills. They promote inclusion by enabling these students to actively participate in school activities, increasing their autonomy and self-esteem. However, the implementation of these technologies faces challenges such as insufficient teacher training and a lack of appropriate infrastructure in schools. Overcoming these obstacles is crucial to maximizing the positive impact of assistive technologies on student learning and social inclusion. Simultaneously, there is a growing opportunity to innovate and expand the use of these tools, contributing to a more equitable and accessible education for all.
