Abstract

This article sought bringing to light the importance of the growth mindset as a driving force for leadership comes in line with the rapid transformations unleashed in the globalized business scenario. The contrast between fixed and growth mindsets is explored to show how they shape human behavior and vital interactions in companies, directly influencing organizational culture. Understanding that the fixed mindset is static, unchanging, focused on the search for perfection and avoidant of issues that may reveal vulnerabilities, highlights how this approach is detrimental to high-level performance. In the growth mindset, the perspective is focused on challenges, viewing mistakes as crucial elements for a continuous journey of learning and development. This approach recognizes that success is a natural result of self-knowledge, positive habits, effective collaboration and constant development in response to necessary changes. In companies, organizational culture is deeply shaped by these mindsets, reflecting fundamental aspects such as leadership and values. Additionally, addressing vulnerability in leadership and promoting healthy habits are crucial elements of effective leadership. A leader's ability to recognize their vulnerabilities and convert challenges into learning radically transforms the way teams and organizations achieve their goals. Given the above, the objective of this paper is to provoke reflection on the challenges, opportunities and impacts that mindsets bring to leadership. The methodology used was a bibliographic review using the theoretical framework of the discipline as a basis, as well as authors focusing on mindsets and related areas.
