The aim of this study is to carry out a bibliographical survey on the effectiveness of Public Policies for Environmental Education and Sustainability: trends and challenges driven by Remote Learning during the Pandemic. The choice of topic is justified by the fact that in Brazil, the dissemination of environmental responsibility with regard to remote teaching has become slow due to Covid-19, which has caused the educational system itself to face slowness in teaching. As a result, it has become relevant to continue classes through remote learning. Although in Basic Education this modality was not used to the detriment of face-to-face classes, it can be worked on in such a way that students make gains in the daily educational process. To this end, it is up to the educator to develop creative and innovative lessons to keep students motivated and stimulated to learn and spread environmental responsibility. In order to achieve the proposed objective, the methodology adopted was bibliographical research, as it is a method that allows the use of material already published on the subject. The conclusion is that environmental education through remote teaching is effective because it provides benefits for the school community, students and also the local community due to the social actions that can be carried out jointly by all those involved, in favor of society as a whole and the environment.
