This study investigates the effectiveness of continuous professional development in active teaching methodologies within the Brazilian educational context. The aim is to assess how this training impacts teachers' pedagogical practices and students' academic performance. Content analysis revealed that training in active methodologies led to significant changes in pedagogical practices, fostering greater student engagement and facilitating more collaborative and contextualized learning environments. Researchers noted improved academic performance among students, indicating enhanced content retention and active participation in classrooms. The study concludes that investments in continuous professional development are crucial for strengthening the implementation of active teaching methodologies, thereby promoting a more dynamic and inclusive education system.
