This article proposes a comparative study of educational policies and social inequalities in the Amazon region, with the aim of identifying and analysing the impact of these policies on reducing educational disparities between different Amazonian communities. Using a bibliographic review methodology, articles, books and government reports published over the last twenty years that discuss the effectiveness of educational policies implemented in the Amazon were examined. This study adopts a qualitative approach to better understand the socio-cultural and economic contexts that influence education in the region. Analysing the data collected reveals persistent inequality in access to and quality of the education on offer, pointing to the need for more robust policies specifically adapted to local realities. The research shows that, despite some progress, educational policies are still insufficient to overcome the structural and socio-economic challenges faced by local populations. In conclusion, the study suggests implementing more inclusive and contextualised educational strategies that take into account the cultural and geographical particularities of the Amazon. This includes the training of local educators, the development of programme content that values indigenous knowledge and continued investment in educational infrastructure. Finally, this study aims to contribute to the formulation of more effective and equitable public policies, promoting social justice and sustainable development in the region.
