Abstract

This study is a state of knowledge about scientific production on gender relations and Professional Education (PE) on the SciELO platform. To this end, the methodology we have used includes the selection of articles that discuss these topics, as well as analysis using the Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA) of Moraes and Galiazzi (2006). Two tools were used to facilitate the article selection and the analysis process: the Zotero reference manager and the Rayyan web application. The data obtained from this study shows that there is an absence regarding the equality with which SciELO covers journals, since most of the articles found come from the Southeast, Midwest and South of Brazil. It also shows that most articles written on gender relations and education are made by women. Finally, there is a clear need to produce more on gender relations to progressively weaken the existing determinisms in our society based on the biological sex of the individuals.
