Abstract

Full-Time Education has been expanding in Brazil. In the State of Goiás, this modality is implemented in Full-Time Education Centers (Cepi). This study aims to demonstrate the educational efficiency in full-time schools. For this, a bibliographic research was conducted in articles, dissertations, books, and websites. The study reveals that Full-Time Education differs from Integral Education. Furthermore, although this model is currently in vogue, it has appeared at various times in our history. Finally, the results indicate that this educational model has been showing superior results compared to regular schools. Additionally, Full-Time Education demands more than extending the school day to 7 or 9 hours; it requires creating a conducive environment for the integral development of students, with actions that involve the basic curriculum and the inclusion of socio-emotional and cultural aspects.
