The main purpose of the text was to analyze the intrinsic and extrinsic aspects that lead to school dropout among the LGBTQIAPN+ community in the school universe of the Public Education Network of the State of Tocantins. Bullying is highlighted as the main cause of such problematization and combating it is what is expected to reduce such actions, which have become crimes typified in the Brazilian Penal Code. The main objective of this study was to reflect on what leads to dropout practices as well as what policies schools have adopted to avoid them. Thus, the research was conducted using the hypothetical-deductive method, starting from a broad idea to reach a specific conclusion. Therefore, it is concluded that a large part of the high school dropout rate among the LGBTQIAPN+ community occurs due to the lack of a bullying prevention policy within schools.
